Employee Engagement Survey

An employee engagement survey was conducted in May 2019, June 2020, May 2021 and May 2022.
The survey was sent via email to all employees and consisted of 17 statements. Employees were asked to indicate how strongly they agreed or disagreed with the statements (1 = strongly disagree, 2 = disagree, 3 = agree, 4 = strongly agree) resulting in a numeric score on a 4-point scale for each statement.
A total of 1,221 responses were received for 2019, 1,260 for 2020 1,337 for 2021 and 1,471 2022. The summary of results below include organizational level analysis as well as an overview by department and role in the organization.

Survey Respondents

Survey respondents were asked to indicate their departments and role in the organization. The department named "Exec Office & Directors" includes the responses from those responding as a Director of a department or as part of the Executive Department.
Departments
Employees from 21 departments and offices, responded to the survey. The largest number of responses were received from Planning and Public Works.
Roles
One-third of responses were self-identified as Directors, Managers, Supervisors, and Lead roles. Just under two-thirds of all responses identified as Non-Supervisory Staff members.
