Employee Engagement Survey

The Pierce County Employee Engagement Survey (PCEES) allows open and honest feedback between Pierce County and staff. It provides an opportunity for direct communication about where Pierce County is succeeding and where more support is needed.
The survey was sent via email to all employees in May 2019, June 2020, May 2021, May 2022, and May 2023. It consisted of 17 statements. Employees were asked to indicate how strongly they agreed or disagreed with the statements (1 = strongly disagree, 2 = disagree, 3 = agree, 4 = strongly agree) resulting in a numeric score on a 4-point scale for each statement.
The summary of results below include organizational level analysis as well as an overview by department and role in the organization.
